lastnight, you should have heard what the big dipper said to me.

On the nights of August 11th and 12th I laid in the grass of my backyard, with a set of binoculars, glasses and a compass watching Perseids! The Perseid meteor shower was known as the "Tears of St. Lawrence." The Perseid meteor shower is an annual meteor shower - Every year, the earth passes through the debris cloud left by the comet when the earth's atmosphere is bombarded by what is popularly known as "falling stars" Thus, is what we watch for! It is not uncommon to see at least 60 meteors per hour streaking through the moonlit sky! Although on August 12th, the sky was rather cloudy, I didn't get to see much. I did however, school joe in Mac and Cheese lessons with bacon and ketchup! He say's I was the most prepared to see the stars! That's because i'm the daughter of the kooked out science teacher! If my dad taught me anything, it's how to find the stars. I love everything about space. I'm a sponge for knowledge dealing with the Stars. I enjoy star gazing so much - to the point I had at least 6 people informed about the shower and to watch. Jay Cinematic claims "I'm so full of life, it's awesome!" Weee! I previously blogged about my dads teachings - I really appreciate learning about this kind of stuff and am thankful and I can still teach myself just from knowing certain things from my dad. On the night of the 12th I saw at least 2 shooting stars, packed it in ealry though. Keep your eyes to sky tonight, for you too shall see nature at it's best! And you're never too old to make a wish :o).

Tonight PBS aired the new Doors movie "When You're Strange." Impressed. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Jim, to me, is ingenious. Nothing comes remotely close to the movement of this band. The film made me remember why I loved them in the first place and basically re-birthed my outlook of them, their sound, what they stand for, the musical aspect in a whole new light. A way in which I thought I couldn't develop more in depth than I already felt. A lyrical Genius, an intelligent lover, a brilliant artist and a maker of a rather good beard..MMM!

Artist and friend Saelee Oh introduced us to her work, which she discovered on MySpace (apparently it isn’t totally dead yet).
Milk is a Tuscon, Arizona based illustrator that made us catch our breath with her brutally honest depictions of females in pain and mourning. Seemingly exploring the emotion surrounding lost love (don’t worry; Milk herself is engaged, according to her page!) these images are captivating in their interpretation of feelings we’ve all had but try to avoid.
However melancholy Milk’s work may be, she makes sure to add interesting references to music (incorporating MP3 icons, musical notes, and old school tape thread) to convey her message. Music is an obvious influence, as is medicine with references to clinical implements and medications. Milk also includes phrases and song titles into tiny strips of narrative hidden within her work."

GURU'S - MOMENT OF TRUTH.

For those who don't know, Hip Hop's ledgen GURU of Gangstarr has been in a coma for a couple weeks now. There's been some real suspicious and disturbing activity going on behind the scenes. Below is the following videos that have been leaked by Guru's nephew explaining the fuckeries between SONAR (Guru's friend/man for 6 years) and the on going battle between Guru's family. It is understood the SONAR isn't allowing Guru's family to see him nor learn about the state of health Guru is in! From little that SONAR does let be known to the public is in fact false, as Guru's nephew claims. The videos are indeed long but very informative.
